MMI is on the forefront of technology at this year’s conference with three cutting edge products: an Interactive POD game, a Flying Theatre, and a themed virtual reality four seat experience.

MMI teamed up with Hollywood studio creatives to utilize the MX4D pod as an immersive, high-energy mission based on world famous IP. Working together, two players travel through the dangerous jungle famously abandoned futuristic theme park on MX4D EFX seats equipped with HMDs. As a team, the explorers must rescue as many dinosaurs as possible while escaping the jaws of the gigantic beasts from the Jurassic Era. Players are scored both as a team and individually.

After the high excitement generated by last year’s debut, MMI’s MX4D Flying EFX Theatre is back with a new take on this industry favorite. The company’s four-seat benchglides to the end of a platform to allow rider’s feet to perilously dangle over the edge. MX4D Motion EFX technology combined with the state-of-the-art projection and sound immerse fliers in an experience unparalleled in the industry. The fully immersive dome screen will surround riders with the edge-of-your-seat excitement of Alpha Flight, the latest film from Super 78.

“We wanted to approach our version of the flying theatre with cost, simplicity and safety in mind,” says Dan Jamele, CITO (Chief Innovation Technology Officer) of MMI. “As opposed to needing complicated mechanisms to lift riders or tilt a platform, our unique system packs a punch in the smallest possible space.”

The third product featured by MMI at IAAPA is MX4D’s stellar EFX bench. Riders don HMDs to experience a variety of thrilling movies on courtesy of Dynamo. The standard, silent, air-driven, pneumatic bench system offers a thrilling experience that moves beyond the standard flying theatre with the company’s full range of motion and effects. Utilizing more than 27 years of innovative technology, MMI entertains guests in over 30,000 seats worldwide.
