He led the UK estate through the pandemic and recovery, and was part of the UK leadership team through the Group’s Chapter 11 process and its UK Restructuring Plan, through which the estate continued to trade. He has delivered the company’s annual conference for more than a decade.
Shaun serves on the boards of Digital Cinema Media and the UK Cinema Association. He was one of the first recipients of the UNIC Gold Award in 2018, for outstanding contribution to European cinema exhibition, and is a Full Member of BAFTA.
Clare Reynolds, Vice President of International People and Culture, Regal Global Entertainment, said: “Shaun has been at the heart of this company for a quarter of a century. His leadership, his standards and his care for our people and our guests have shaped Cineworld’s operations and the wider UK industry. He goes with our thanks and our very best wishes.”
Shaun Jones said: “I leave with enormous pride in what our teams have built and complete confidence in the people who open our doors every day. This industry has given me a career I could never have designed for myself, and I intend to keep contributing to it. I am now considering my next leadership role in the industry.”
