Name: Emma Keith
Company: NT Live
Title: Head of Broadcast & Producer
Country: United Kingdom

Emma Keith’s first cinema memory was “watching ‘Who Framed Roger Rabbit’ as a very small child in a Roger Rabbit themed outfit,” but these days she moves amongst different costumes and frocks in her role as a producer and Head of Broadcast at NT Live, the world’s most successful event cinema stage play company.

Keith feels that event cinema is “such a new part of the industry that it’s difficult to predict where it may end up but I think it has huge potential to grow further and to continue evolving.” As well as her work for NT Live, Emma works across National Theatre’s Digital Learning work and its recently launched On Demand in-school platform.

In addition, NT Live has been working with Sony on a 4K partnership over the last year. “For me this a really exciting trend, the quality of picture is really phenomenal and we’ve used this technology on some of our most high profile productions,” Keith says. “It feels like a genuine technological development which we’ve been able to be involved with at the early stage.”

Though Emma won’t be at CineEurope 2016, NT Live will be represented by its Distribution Manager Claire Lester on Wednesday and Thursday.
