Arts Alliance Media (AAM), the global leader in digital cinema software and support, has agreed a strategic partnership with iPlateia, a technology manufacturer specialising in mobile advertising, marketing and Automatic Content Recognition (ACR), to become an official SORI API technology provider.
Dedicated to enhancing consumer engagement and analytics, iPlateia offers an impressive portfolio of technological tools, including ACR, second screen services, and advanced media reporting. Central to their offering is the SORI API (Application Programming Interface), a proprietary sound recognition tool designed for seamless integration into iOS and Android apps.
Strengthening AAM’s comprehensive suite of powerful APIs, the SORI API presents a highly valuable integration for exhibitor-owned mobile apps, increasing advertising revenue for exhibitors and campaign engagement for advertisers.
“Since our first collaboration in 2017, we have gained a deep understanding of Arts Alliance Media’s leadership in the market and their expertise in delivering transformative solutions”, explained Daniel Cho, Founder of iPlateia. “The SORI API offers tremendous potential to drive revenue growth for global exhibition while enabling audience engagement with on-screen content.”
The SORI API is a technology that seamlessly connects audiences’ smartphones with movies and advertisements in theatres. By precisely recognising and analysing the sounds from on-screen content, the SORI API delivers targeted promotions, event details, and product advertisements directly to consumers’ mobile apps. This allows for personalised, real-time engagement based on advertiser needs and user preferences.
As a strategic partner to SORI API technology, AAM will support iPlateia by becoming another direct point of contact for exhibitors worldwide, adding their exclusive advertising solution to their growing suite of APIs services.
David Ong, Chief Commercial Officer at AAM, added, “We’re thrilled to reestablish our partnership with iPlateia and offer an additional outlet for their innovative SORI API. Having witnessed the impact of their technology firsthand, we’re confident that it will unlock new revenue streams for exhibitors and third-party vendors, while advancing the landscape of cinema advertising.”
