San Sebastián International Film Festival Underscores Arts Alliance Media’s Ability to Safeguard Quality and Performance in New Case Study

Arts Alliance Media (AAM) is praised in a new case study for streamlining content management at the San Sebastián International Film Festival
LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM ( June 3, 2025 ) -

Arts Alliance Media (AAM), the global leader in digital cinema software and support services, has been praised for facilitating time-saving content management while safeguarding quality and performance in a newly released case study featuring Lucas Iaccarino of San Sebastián International Film Festival (SSIFF), one of the most prestigious and longest-running film festivals in the world.

In 2024, AAM and SSIFF celebrated ten years of partnership, with AAM’s Screenwriter Theatre Management System (TMS) supporting the Festival’s operations across ten memorable editions. Held annually northern Spain, SSIFF showcases a rich and diverse selection of films, from international premieres to emerging talents, and prides itself on promoting artistic excellence, with awards like the Golden Shell for Best Film.

Highlighting the impact of the partnership, Lucas outlines two primary capabilities within Screenwriter which has allowed extensive visibility and control:

“It provides a game-changing situation: to be able to control the content and KDMs, and ensure they’re ready to be screened in each cinema from one main location without going to each cinema with the hard drive. That’s our main workflow now. It gives us a view of the whole festival.”

As a result, the time required to ingest content across SSIFF’s network has been significantly reduced: “It’s much easier to deliver it through Screenwriter. The difference in time-saving is huge.”

In 2024, SSIFF further enhanced its operations by adopting AAM’s Producer, an Enterprise TMS. The Festival’s Quality Control (QC) team now uses both solutions during screening tests to ensure content is ready to play at each venue; a critical step in preventing unexpected issues.

“The QC team use Screenwriter to know which films have arrived and to transfer content to the QC rooms. The QC Technicians also use Producer to check if they have content and that it’s correctly ingested and the KDMs are open. Producer and Screenwriter help us to avoid lost time by identifying corrupted transfers or missing keys during the QC process.”

Trusted for its reliability and performance, Screenwriter has supported a wide range of events, from pop-up outdoor screenings and major industry trade shows to prestigious film festivals. Producer, a cloud-based solution, extends Screenwriter’s capabilities across an entire circuit or network.
