It’s the most festive moviegoing time of the year, and Marcus Theatres surveyed its Magical Movie Rewards (MMR) loyalty members in 17 states to hear about their holiday plans and what new releases they’re looking forward to seeing in movie theatres. Respondents are from Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Georgia, Louisiana, New York, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin.

Ninety-six percent of moviegoers surveyed plan to flock to the theatres in November and December for whimsy, action, and even some history! Fans are buzzing about various movies, including a family film about a girl with a wish, a fan-favorite character from the DC Universe, two highly anticipated prequels, and one famous military commander.

Fan-favorite classic movies that get you in the holiday spirit play a big role in creating traditions and memories. This year, Elf took back the Christmas crown after surrendering it last year to “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation,” making it the holiday classic MMR members want to see most. All of the merriest movies will be coming back to theatres in the Seasons’ Screening Film Series and Passport, which will run for 4 weeks beginning on Nov. 26 and can be purchased for $6 per movie or a $20 passport that gifts the holder one holiday classic a week for 4 weeks.
