Studio Movie Grill (“SMG”) continues its commitment to reopen theaters with additional locations opening this Friday, August 14 at Arlington Lincoln Square and Plano in Texas, Duluth in Georgia and Wheaton in Illinois.

“SMG is extremely happy to safely welcome guests back to movies on the big screen. We have a wide variety of films playing including classics and several new releases from smaller distributors; which are impressively driving pre-pandemic levels of attendance. New movies from the major studios are right around the corner including the highly anticipated “Tenet” from Warner Bros,” Founder/CEO Brian Schultz shared.

SMG attributes much of its success to a handful of new initiatives, new technologies, and the continued loyalty from SMG Access members. “As the brand celebrates its love of movies and our heartfelt gratitude, new and existing SMG Access members can reserve (4) four free movie tickets for select CLASSICS films when they log in and book through the SMG App,” said Tonya Mangels, Head of Revenue and Marketing. “We added new perks including earning points on food and drinks, plus upgraded the app for convenient, contactless menu ordering”. SMG was one of the first to offer guests the opportunity to book an exclusive private auditorium for only $200. A theater rental can accommodate almost any number of guests and has been immensely popular for birthday parties, movie events, surprise parties, and other socially distanced get-togethers. Unlike other exhibitors, there are no additional charges for tickets or required minimums for food and beverage at SMG, though the option to order from the freshy-prepared dining menu and full-service bar are available. Advanced tickets are now on sale for “Unhinged” starring Russell Crowe opening 8/21st HERE. And, in anticipation of the much heralded 9/3 release of Christopher Nolan’s film “Tenet”, SMG will show his revolutionary blockbuster “Inception” starting 8/21, which features an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at “Tenet”. The August new film lineup rounds out with “The New Mutants” from Disney, opening 8/28. SMG’s goal is to be the best place to watch a movie with simple and safe ways to enjoy the show.
