Star Cinema Grill Set To Reopen Their Baybrook Mall Location

Star Cinema Grill - Baybrook Lifestyle Center

First movie theater to reopen in the Greater Houston Area

Friendswood, Texas ( May 4, 2020 ) -

Houston-based Star Cinema Grill announced today plans to reopen their Baybrook Lifestyle Center location on Friday May 8th with a great line-up of classic movies and all tickets priced at $4, available now for purchase through their free mobile app.

As one of the first movie theaters to open in this new normal, Star Cinema Grill has made many adjustments to their operations to ensure a safe environment for their guests and associates. Those details can be found at www.starcinemagrill.net/re-open-plan.

“We take the responsibility of opening right now very seriously”, says John Walsh, Vice President of Operations. “We are following all measures put in place by state and local authorities and have gone above and beyond those in most cases. Our guests have been reaching out non-stop since Governor Abbott’s announcement last Monday, and they are ready to join us again at the movies. Our team members are just as excited to get back to work and we are taking every precaution to make sure they have a safe environment to return to.”

The Baybrook location of Star Cinema Grill features Premium Pod seating. These are heated leather recliner seats, separated by privacy walls, and come with a complimentary blanket and popcorn. The Pods offer a great opportunity to enjoy a movie in your own personal space that separates you from other movie-going guests.

Star Cinema Grill will be offering its most popular menu items, and will be introducing a new feature to their mobile app which will allow refills and additional ordering options right from your smart phone, eliminating the need for a server to make close contact during the movie.

In the first week there will be over 17 titles playing with more variety being added each week. Opening weekend titles include “Beverly Hills Cop,” “Wonder Woman,” “Dolphin Tale,” “Wizard of Oz,” “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off,” “Tropic Thunder,” “Goonies,” “Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory,” “Lego Batman,” “Mean Girls,” “Raiders of the Lost Ark,” “Saving Private Ryan” as well as all eight Harry Potter movies.
