Coming Soon – Star Cinema Grill Bolingbrook and South Barrington

Sugar Land, TX ( January 24, 2022 ) -

Houston-based Star Cinema Grill today announced that it has executed lease agreements, and plans to soon re-open two former IPIC locations in the Chicago suburbs of South Barrington and Bolingbrook. Star Cinema Grill is expected to begin operations at both locations in the first quarter of 2022. Star Cinema Grill remains in active negotiations to pick up more locations that complement the portfolio of the existing circuit.

Upon reopening guests will experience the difference that Star Cinema Grill offers from the previous operator. Some of those improvements will include upgrading, in 100% of the auditoriums, new premium recliner seats, all with seat heaters as well as seat-side food and beverage service to ALL seats, not just the premium sections. These locations will also offer Star Cinema Grill’s Premium Pod Seating, which have added amenities that guests will love like privacy walls, blankets and priority food and beverage service.

The menus will also be updated to be much more approachable for the communities that these theaters serve. With favorites like house made Everything But The Bagel Hummus, Southwest Eggrolls, Hand Battered Chicken Tenders, Strawberry Chicken & Walnut Salad and many more American Grill selections in addition to the full bar that guests have come to enjoy at the movies.

Star Cinema Grill appeals to all segments of the communities it serves and provides an affordable, yet upscale experience that everyone from families to date night can enjoy. Ticket pricing will be very competitive in the market and will ensure that everyone who wants to enjoy a movie at these locations will be able to do so.

“We are so excited to add two more fantastic theaters to our chain, and give our Hollywood Palms Cinema brand some sister locations in the Chicago market” says Jason Ostrow, Vice President of Development. “These former IPIC’s are a great brand fit and we look forward to getting both locations back open as quickly as possible.”
