Quakertown, PA ( March 4, 2024 ) -

Christie is pleased to share that its projection solutions are lighting up screens at R/C Theatres’ newest multiplex at Richland Crossings Movies 12 in Quakertown, Pennsylvania.

Opened on March 1, the multiplex features Christie cinema solutions, with its proprietary RGB pure laser technology, across all 12 screens for unparalleled color and contrast. Luxury heated recliner seating, RCX premium large format (PLF) screens with 4K laser projection, and surround sound enhance the moviegoing experience for guests.

R/C Theatres is a family-owned and operated company dating back to 1932. With 131 screens across 14 locations, Richland Crossings Movies 12 is the newest addition to its portfolio.

“We’ve pulled out all the stops with our newest location,” says Scott R. Cohen, President & CEO, R/C Theatres. “Guests can experience bigger and brighter screens from top-of-line RGB pure laser projectors, an expanded snack bar, the most comfortable seats imaginable, and RCX, short for RC Xtreme, for a premium and immersive moviegoing experience in two of our auditoriums. And with Christie RGB pure laser projection, we’re ready to deliver a memorable experience for our guests.”

“R/C Theatres is known for its considerable investments in their multiplexes, and it’s a pleasure to be chosen again to work with them at this beautiful new location, Richland Crossings,” says Scott Freidberg, strategic accounts, Cinema, at Christie.

Guests to R/C Theatres’ newest location can experience Christie cinema solutions across its 12 auditoriums. Christie’s RGB pure laser cinema projectors, featuring Real|Laser illumination technology, convert more lumens per watt for reduced energy costs and provide more than 50,000 hours of DCI-specified on-screen brightness.

With the most expansive color gamut of any projection technology – delivering greater than 95% of the Rec. 2020 color space – and superior contrast ratio, moviegoers experience vibrant and clear visuals for a visually immersive experience.
