POSitive Cinema Solutions, a subsidiary of LSI Group, the European specialist in POS solutions for Restaurants, Hotel, Retail, Entertainment, and most recently Cinema, is excited to announce the addition of Mark Waldman to head up the sales and marketing activities for POSitive Cinema.

As a seasoned professional with experience in Programming, Corporate Training, Product Management and Sales in several vertical markets, Mr. Waldman joined the cinema industry in 2002, as the IT Director, for Palace Cinemas, now Cinema City. Palace Cinemas had 22 sites and 180 screens with cinemas in Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia.  In the 9 years at Palace Cinemas, he oversaw the transition to digital cinema, as well as the development of a proprietary POS system.

In 2011, he joined dcinex, now CinemaNext, as the Director of European Customer Support and Service, responsible for the NOC. The NOC was responsible for providing service and support to 7,000+ screens across Europe. In the two years at dcinex, Mr. Waldman expanded the NOC from 7 technicians to 20 technicians, to meet the demands of the growing customer base. He led the NOC during the critical period in the industry, as most cinemas were converted from Film to Digital over that period of time.  He implemented processes and procedures focused on delivering excellent customer service, while ensuring that agreed upon SLAs were met.

In the two years at KaroFilm, he oversaw the implementation of Vista Solutions POS, and Unique TMS, restructured the IT and Digital Cinema teams, supplemented the team by outsourcing some areas of support, and again, implemented processes and procedures focused on delivering excellent customer service.

“I am pleased to welcome Mark to the team. His deep and broad experience, especially in the Cinema Industry, will enable POSitive Cinema to become the preeminent POS Solution in the industry. His enthusiasm and knowledge will be invaluable to our teams and partners as we push to reach that goal.,” stated Gregory Siewiera, founder and Chief Executive Officer of the LSI Group.
