Ice Theaters and Vox Cinemas have opened a second immersive cinema experience in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

After Riyadh’s Successful Launch, Moviegoers in Jeddah Will Now Get to Enjoy The Ultimate Sensorial Experience With Ice Theaters

La Rochelle, France & Dubai, UAE ( December 9, 2020 ) -

Leading French company ICE Theaters, a CGR Cinemas company, and VOX Cinemas, recently announced the opening of the brand-new premium screen concept, ICE Theaters (ICE: Immersive Cinema Experience) in the state-of-the-art new multiplex located in Town Square Jeddah. This opening comes after the successful launch earlier this year of the first ICE Theaters in VOX Cinemas Riyadh Park.

With an extensive film line-up, the ICE Theaters combines premium design, excellence in sound and image technologies, and the truly revolutionary ICE Immersive visual experience. It meets growing demand from customers for captivating and engaging cinema experiences. 2019 saw 27 global Hollywood blockbusters featured as part of ICE Immersive’s offering and 21 titles to date for 2020 amid the pandemic. VOX Cinemas will operate its second premium screen with ICE Theaters in its world-class multiplex at Town Square in Jeddah.

According to Cameron Mitchell, Chief Executive Officer at Majid Al Futtaim Cinemas and Majid Al Futtaim Leisure & Entertainment, “Majid Al Futtaim remains at the forefront of innovation regionally as we continuously embrace new technologies to allow VOX Cinemas to deliver an exceptional customer experience. We are very impressed by the ICE Immersive technology installed at VOX Riyadh Park, and as a result, introduced the concept to our newest cinema at Town Square in Jeddah, to provide yet another sensorial experience to enhance the cinema experience.”

Jocelyn Bouyssy, Managing Director of CGR Cinemas, added: “In such challenging times, we welcome exhibitors like VOX Cinemas who continue to offer first class technology to moviegoers. The ICE Immersive premium format exceeds any movie-going experience in cinemas, and numbers are proving it. If sound can come from anywhere in the auditorium, light shall too, – wowing the moviegoers and immersing them in the content and storytelling without disrupting the original director’s work.”

With a record number of blockbusters released in ICE Immersive technology last year, including, Paramount’s “Terminator Dark Fate”, “Gemini Man”, Universal’s “How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World” and “Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw”, 20th Century Fox’s “Alita Battle Angle”, “Le Mans 66” and “Dark Phoenix”, Sony’s “Men In Black International” and “Spider-Man Far From Home”, Warner’s “Shazam” & “Annabelle 3”, Disney’s “Maleficient 2” and many more. 2020 already delivered 21 titles amid the pandemic with Sony’s “Bad Boys for Life”, Paramount’s “Sonic The Hedgehog”, Warner’s “Tenet” and “Birds of Prey”, STX’s “Greenland”, Universal’s “The Invisible Man”, “Trolls World Tour” and “Freaky” To Name A Few. 2021 will be epic.
