ODEON – the UK and Ireland’s largest cinema chain – is gearing up for its Spring launch of the newly transformed and much anticipated ODEON Luxe Epsom, as the cinema becomes the latest in the Group to receive the impressive transformation. Alongside new handmade recliner seats, the refurbishment will feature an immersive iSense screen, packed with the latest viewing technology to provide the ultimate viewing experience.

Whilst the works are completed, Epsom locals can still catch the season’s biggest blockbusters including Sonic the Hedgehog (14th February), The Invisible Man (28th February) and Onward (6th March) as the cinema remains open during the works.

The new-look cinema is sure to impress lucky Epsom film fans. There is no better way to catch the latest big screen action than with ODEON’s state-of-the-art iSense screen, which comes as part of the revamp. Measuring 11.5 metres in width and taller than a double decker bus, iSense boasts fully immersive 4K projection with Dolby ATMOS 3D sound. What’s more, in-screen lighting technology minimises distractions to provide a cinematic experience that is second to none.

Additionally, all screens at ODEON Luxe Epsom will project breath-taking sound from over 160 speakers using Dolby 7.1 Surround and new multi-channel amplifiers.

To complete the premium cinema experience, the cinema will be fully equipped with luxury handmade reclining seats which will provide guests with triple the legroom and increased personal space, the ultimate way to watch a film.

The Luxe experience also includes new food and drink options including lattice fries, chicken strips, sweet and salted popcorn, hot dogs, nachos, Tango Ice Blast and a Coca-Cola Freestyle machine with over 100 different flavours to enjoy. It will also boast an Oscar’s Bar serving a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and an onsite Costa Coffee store.

• 756 handmade fully reclining seats across 8 refurbished screens, with increased legroom, improved comfort and individual retractable tables
• A cutting-edge 123-seat iSense screen, delivering a truly immersive, ultra-high-definition cinema experience, with 4K projection and Dolby ATMOS 3D sound
• Over 160brand new speakers across all auditoriums, with all standard screens also upgrading to Dolby 7.1 Surround Sound
• New in-screen lighting systems to minimise distractions and optimise viewing angles with better light uniformity on all screens
• New Dolby Fidelio Audio Description system and Hearing-Impaired system across all screens for guests who are hard of hearing
• New food & drink offering, including sweet and salted popcorn, hot dogs, nachos, Tango Ice Blast and a Coca-Cola Freestyle machine with over 100 different flavours to enjoy
