Arts Alliance Media (AAM), the global leader in digital cinema software and services, will celebrate ten years since the launch of Screenwriter this month, an astounding milestone for the Theatre Management System (TMS) which has supported cinema operations since the digital switchover.
First launched in 2013, Screenwriter was designed to supersede the first generation AAM TMS, a Theatre Management System that supported exhibitors enrolled in the Virtual Print Fee (VPF) programme as they upgraded to digital cinema equipment. Consequently, Screenwriter embodied an operational restructure, enabling cinemas to centralise their workflows from a single screen instead of traditional, manual methods. Now, Screenwriter reaches over 44,000 screens worldwide and is renowned for its high performance content, KDM and site management services, maintaining its position as the world’s leading TMS.
“Screenwriter is globally recognised for its astute functionality and reliability, and underpins many of the great solutions Arts Alliance Media has deployed throughout the last decade”, explained Alan Bowen, General Manager and Chief Financial Officer at Arts Alliance Media. “Since deployment in 2013, we have remained committed to ensuring Screenwriter exceeds the requirements of global exhibitor operations.”
Adept in a multitude of cinematic environments, Screenwriter is responsible for powering some of the world’s largest exhibitors while managing a host of international film festivals, seasonal cinema events, and independent theatres. Its intuitive ‘one-window’ interface, drag-and-drop playlist builder, and real-time monitoring of content, screens, and KDMs combines with automated features,
such as auto-transfers and auto-deletion, to produce a formidable, efficiency-focused theatre management solution.
Contributing to its progressive reputation, Screenwriter’s extensive repertoire of eco-friendly features, including Bookends and Auto-Shutdown not only bolsters exhibitors’ ability to save time, energy and money, but also aligns with the evolving needs of modern audiences. Alongside its compatibility with a wide range of device models and operating systems, complementary solutions, such as Producer and Lifeguard, has since underlined Screenwriter’s importance as the foundation for growth.
David Ong, Chief Commercial Officer at Arts Alliance Media, added, “we are immensely proud of reaching another milestone in this company’s history. Screenwriter is the bedrock for so many organisations and we will continue to work hand-in-hand with exhibition to ensure a first-rate theatre management solution.”
