Christie Premieres RGBH and VDR Technologies at CineEurope 2026

Christie returns to CineEurope with solutions to help exhibitors deliver more immersive and efficient moviegoing

European debuts show how exhibitors can elevate moviegoing and improve efficiency

BARCELONA, SPAIN ( June 17, 2026 ) -

Christie returns to CineEurope with a showcase focused on the auditorium experience—helping exhibitors deliver more immersive, visually compelling moviegoing while operating more efficiently. From June 22–25 at the Centre de Convencions Internacional de Barcelona (CCIB), Christie will welcome visitors in meeting rooms MR133 and MR134 and present offsite cinema screenings at Cinesa Diagonal Mar, Sala 8.

Christie’s CineEurope presence highlights technologies that help cinemas create memorable experiences with future-ready solutions. Through live demonstrations and real-world applications, Christie will show how advances in illumination, contrast, and efficiency can strengthen presentation quality, reduce energy use, and deliver long-term value for exhibitors.

“Exhibitors want more than performance on paper. They need solutions that help them create a premium moviegoing experience, run efficiently, and invest long-term with confidence,” says Adil Zerouali, vice president, Sales, EMEA, Christie. “At CineEurope 2026, we’re showing how Christie helps them raise presentation quality, manage energy use, and deliver the kind of cinematic experience that brings audiences back.”

Next ‘Phaze’ of cinema illumination makes its EMEA debut

CineEurope 2026 will mark the European debut of Christie’s RGBH cinema projectors, with brightness options from 10,000 to 20,000 lumens. Combining RGB pure laser and laser phosphor illumination, RGBH gives exhibitors a practical path from Xenon to laser—delivering bright, rich visuals, strong color performance, and improved energy efficiency. In meeting room 133, visitors can see the first demonstration of the CP4410m-RGBH, suited to small- to medium-sized screens and post-production environments.

VDR comes to Europe with live on-screen demonstrations

Christie will also introduce VDR, an enabling technology for Christie CineLife+ projectors with RealLaser illumination, designed to enhance the on-screen experience while improving operational efficiency. During live screenings at Cinesa Diagonal Mar, Sala 8, visitors will see how VDR delivers deeper contrast, better dark-scene detail, accurate color, and strong brightness—creating a more dynamic, engaging image and more efficient use of light output from the projector—creating a more dynamic, engaging image without increasing brightness or altering the projector’s native color performance. VDR can also reduce laser power consumption by up to 30% and extend laser life by up to 50%, helping exhibitors lower total cost of ownership while maintaining a premium presentation.
