NEW YORK, NEW YORK ( June 9, 2026 ) -

Bleecker Street has partnered with long-time collaborator LD Entertainment to announce today that they have acquired U.S. rights to BAFTA nominated Anton Corbijn’s “A Talent For Murder,” a twisty thriller starring Academy, Golden Globe, BAFTA, Emmy, and Tony Award winner Helen Mirren (“The Queen,” “Eye In The Sky”) as the celebrated writer Patricia Highsmith, alongside Tony Award winner Alden Ehrenreich (“Weapons,” “Oppenheimer”), and Olivia Cooke (“House of the Dragon”, “The Sound of Metal”). The film will be released theatrically nationwide this fall.

Directed by Corbijn and based on the 2014 play “Switzerland” by prolific Australian playwright, screenwriter, and novelist Joanna Murray-Smith, who adapted it for the screen, the film follows a callow young literary agent from New York (Ehrenreich) who is sent to Switzerland to persuade Patricia Highsmith (Mirren) to write one final installment of the Ripley anthology.

Magnolia Mae’s Gabrielle Tana and LD Entertainment’s Mickey Liddell and Pete Shilaimon serve as producers on the film. Also producing are Brouhaha’s Troy Lum and Andrew Mason; Jim Robison and Kurt Martin for Lunar Pictures; Carolyn Marks Blackwood for Magnolia Mae Films; Karl Spoerri at Switzerland’s Zurich Avenue; and Andrea Occhipinti for Italy’s Lucky Red. The movie was financed by Head Gear Films, Metrol Technology, and LD Entertainment. FilmNation Entertainment is handling international sales.
