ArcLight Hollywood est le CJ + Vista’s Cinéma du Mois
Clermont – CGR a ouvert son multiplex phare à Clermont en mai. Le CGR Val d’Arena a un restaurant Poivre Rouge à côté, avec trois autres restaurants prévus. Il y aura aussi une boulangerie et un bowling. Le cinéma possède une grande zone de concessions et une zone de jeux. Le cinéma à 12 écrans et 2 300 places a déjà été retardé par des litiges.
CGR unveiled its flagship multiplex in Clermont in May. The CGR Val d’Arena has a Poivre Rouge restaurant next door, with three more eateries scheduled. There will also be a bakery and a bowling alley. The cinema has a large concessions area and also a gaming area. The 12-screen 2,300 seat cinema was previously delayed by legal disputes. Val-Tolosa – La CNC a rejeté la demande de construction d’un méga-cinéma à Val-Tolosa. Le cinéma de 11 écrans et 2 300 places aurait été la pièce maîtresse du centre commercial Val-Tolos à Plaisance-du-Touch. Mais en dépit de l’ajout d’éléments «bonus» culturels (un écran d’art et une médiathèque), les plans ont été rejetés suite à l’objection de Écran 7, qui exploite un cinéma à Plaisance-du-Touch.
The CNC has rejected the application to build a mega-cinema in Val-Tolosa. The 11-screen, 2,300 seat cinema would have been the centrepiece of the Val-Tolos shopping centre in in Plaisance-du-Touch. But despite adding cultural ‘bonus’ elements (an art-house screen and media library) the plans were rejected following objection from Écran 7, which operates a cinema in Plaisance-du-Touch. Paris – Des objections ont été soumises à des projets visant à transformer une ancienne centrale électrique dans le 11ème arrondissement de Paris en cinéma. Les plans pour le cinéma à cinq écrans d’Etoile Ciema sont soutenus par le maire de Paris, Anne Hidalgo. Il y a trois autres projets en compétition pour cet espace, dont un par l’acteur Christophe Lambert, pour un cinéma avec le soutien d’un hôtel de luxe.
Objections have been submitted to plans for transforming an old power station in Paris’ 11th arrondissement into a cinema. The plans for the five-screen cinema by Etoile Ciema has the support of Paris’ Mayor Anne Hidalgo. There are three other projects competing for this space, including one by actor Christophe Lambert, for a cinema with the backing of a luxury hotel. Le Figaro – 30 mai/May 2017
Montivilliers – Le Havre a son quatrième cinéma – et la France a son premier multiplex tout-Atmos. Le cinéma Les Arts a ouvert ses portes le 2 juin, dans le but d’avoir 100 000 visiteurs dans sa première année. Le cinéma dispose de quatre écrans et 861 sièges, le conseil municipal a contribué à hauteur de 6,8 millions d’euros au budget total de 7,8 millions d’euros. “L’exploitation du cinéma Les Arts a été confiée au groupe NOE cinémas, avec, à sa tête Richard Patry, dans le cadre d’une délégation de service public.”.
Le Havre has its fourth cinema – and France has its first all-Atmos multiplex. Les Arts cinema opened on 2 June, with the aim of having 100,000 visitors in its first year. Reunion (Territoire français d’outremer) – L’avant-poste de l’océan Indien de France a un seul cinéma, situé dans la ville de Saint-Pierre. Deux projets rivaux sur le sud de l’île sont tous deux bloqués en raison de litiges et d’appels. On construirait un cinéma à Pierrefonds, l’autre dans la zone de Canabady. Peut-être qu’ils devraient apprendre du cinéma gonflable de Cinéwoulé (ci-dessus) qui vient d’être lancé en Guadeloupe au prix de 250 000 €.
France’s Indian Ocean outpost has just one cinema, located in the city of Saint-Pierre. Two rival projects on the south of the island are both stuck due to litigation and appeals. One would build a cinema in Pierrefonds, the other in the Canabady zone. Redessiner/Réouverture
Fougères – Le Club Cinema à Fougères obtiendra un sixième auditorium. Le travail coûtera 2 millions d’euros à 2,3 millions d’euros et impliquera également une rénovation majeure du reste du multiplex, y compris le remplacement de 900 sièges. “Cette salle polyvalente pourra accueillir des ateliers et des animations à destination des scolaires.”
Le Club Cinema in Fougeres will get a sixth auditorium. The work will cost €2 million to €2.3 million and also involve a major renovation of the rest of the multiplex, including replacing 900 seats. “This [new] multipurpose room will be able to host workshops and animations for school children.” Ouest France – 1 juin/June 2017
Canada (Quebec) – Plus de 90 000 $ CA (66 900 $ US) seront investis pour rénover le Cinéma du Rift à Ville-Marie. Le balcon, le toit, la marquise et le câblage électrique du cinéma seront tous améliorés. Le panneau obtiendra également un rétro-éclairage et aura des ampoules autour de lui.”On [ne] va pas mettre de l’écriture électronique là-dedans. On veut vraiment garder le cachet art déco qui reste encore au cinéma du Rift depuis des années,” explique la directrice générale du RIFT, Amélie Cordeau.
Over C$90,000 (USD $66,900) will be invested to renovate the Cinéma du Rift in Ville-Marie. The balcony, the roof, the marquise and the electric wiring of the cinema will all be improved. The sign will also get backlighting and have lightbulbs around it. But “We’re not going to put electronic writing into it. We really want to keep the art deco style that has been in the Rift cinema for years,” says the director general of the Rift, Amélie Cordeau. Radio Canada – 2 juin/June 2017
Fermeture
Conflans-Sainte-Honorine – La décision de fermer le cinéma à Conflans-Sainte-Honorine n’a pas été populaire. Une alliance de socialistes et de membres du parti vert ont écrit pour appeler à la réouverture du cinéma et ont recueilli 3500 signatures. Le cinéma devrait clôturer le 31 décembre de cette année en raison de la faible fréquentation.
The decision to close the cinema in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine has not gone down well. An alliance of socialists and green party members have written to call for the re-opening of the cinema and have collected 3,500 signatures.
