Cine Group has announced that Patrick von Sychowski will join the company in September 2026 as International Editor-in-Chief. He will contribute to the European and international dimension of Boxoffice Pro France and support the group’s development in international B2B information for the cinema exhibition sector.

Patrick joins Cine Group after three rewarding years at CinemaNext, where he played an active role during a period in which the company further consolidated its position as Europe’s largest cinema integrator. He moves into his new role with CinemaNext’s full support and goodwill, and the two organizations look forward to continuing to cross paths across the European exhibition community.

The role sits within Cine Group’s Business Information division, led by Laurent Cotillon, which brings together Boxoffice Pro France (magazine, website, podcast and YouTube show) and the group’s media and events initiatives. Patrick von Sychowski will work in close collaboration with Laurent Cotillon and the editorial teams.

His arrival builds on Cine Group’s international initiatives: the editions of the Boxoffice Forum, international research such as the study conducted on behalf of the CNC with Omdia and Hexacom and presented in Cannes, the Cinemas Club run with the Marché du Film in Cannes in 2026, and the Boxoffice Tour study trips, notably around CineEurope 2026 and the Nouvelles Vagues festival in Biarritz.

With more than twenty-five years in the cinema industry, Patrick von Sychowski is a widely recognized expert among the sector’s specialists. Most recently, he contributed to business and market development at CinemaNext, and over his career he has headed Business Development for Reliance MediaWorks, UniqueX and Deluxe, alongside his writing and consulting work for Celluloid Junkie and Screen Digest. He will continue to serve as Board Member and Vice-President of the European Digital Cinema Forum (EDCF).
