The film and cultural festival transforms the Distillery Historic District into an open-air cinema village
Christie is pleased to share that it’s sponsoring the Lavazza IncluCity Festival, presented by ICFF, for the fifth consecutive year. The film and cultural festival runs from June 27 to July 21, 2024, and takes place in Toronto’s Distillery Historic District.
The festival transforms the Distillery into an open-air cinema village that includes Trinity Theatre—an outdoor theatre that welcomes guests with inviting couches, noise-canceling headphones, and a 28-foot screen illuminated by a Christie CP4435-RGB pure laser cinema projector. In case of inclement weather, a Christie CP4415-RGB pure laser cinema projector will light up the screen at Canadian Stage, an indoor theatre that is a short walk from the Distillery.
“We are proud to continuously work with Christie to bring audiences a one-of-a-kind outdoor festival that pushes the boundaries of what’s possible for film festivals. We are honored to collaborate with them on innovative approaches to bring cinema outside, in a historic landmark of Toronto for thousands of people to enjoy,” says Cristiano de Florentiis, ICFF Co-Founder and Artistic Director.
“The IncluCity Festival is a very special event on Toronto’s social calendar. The open-air cinema is a unique opportunity to watch incredible films from around the world in comfort, and we’re thrilled to support the festival with our pure laser cinema projectors,” says Arlonna Seymour, executive director, Corporate Marketing, Christie.
Attendees of the festival will enjoy a premium moviegoing experience with incredibly colorful, detailed, and true-to-life visuals with Christie RGB pure laser cinema projectors. In keeping with the festival’s sustainability initiatives, these projectors feature best-in-class energy efficiency: the CP4435-RGB is 22% more efficient than its competitors, and the CP4415-RGB is 18% more efficient, producing 11.9 lumens per watt.
The Lavazza IncluCity Festival celebrates Canada’s multicultural identity with a selection of curated films from around the world, including the highly anticipated special screening of “Space Cadet” by Liz W. Garcia, starring Emma Roberts. The festival creates a multicultural village within the Historic Distillery District with unique activations, culinary experiences, and complimentary concerts with a global roster of artists.
