WORKINGHAM, UNITED KINGDOM ( March 10, 2026 ) -

This year Christie and the National Film and Television School (NFTS) mark 21 years of partnership supporting future industry talent. Kato Boels, a graduate of the Production Management MA program, is this year’s ‘Most Promising Student’ award recipient. Christie presented Kato with the award and a cash prize at the graduation ceremony on Friday, March 6.

Course leader for Production Management, Bex Hopkins commented, “Kato Boels has won the ‘Most Promising Student’ award for the sheer scale, resilience, and generosity of her contribution to the school. An outstanding production manager and coordinator, she supported graduation films far beyond her remit, often stepping into the most challenging productions and helping steady them under real pressure, ensuring crews were supported throughout, and films were completed. Alongside this, she worked as a stills photographer on over 20 projects and supported countless departments in whatever way was needed, from airport runs at 3 a.m. to lifting team morale. Kato has gone further, worked harder, and supported so many across the school, making her a truly deserving recipient of this award.”

The NFTS once again underlined its global reputation, celebrating its 15th consecutive year in the Hollywood Reporter’s list of the world’s best international film schools. NFTS student films continue to shine at industry events, including La Cinéf in Cannes, an 11th consecutive win at the Grierson Awards, and a historic sweep of student films winning first prize across all three CILECT prize categories.

“Kato joins a host of previous NFTS students over the years who have made outstanding contributions during their time at the school. We have seen many previous winners go on to fulfil their dreams and talents,” said Adil Zerouali, vice president, EMEA, Christie. “We wish Kato all the very best for her future and are delighted to have such a long partnership with the NFTS supporting the film and television makers of the future.”
