We write to you today because we are delighted by the response to this year’s Top Women in Global Cinema. We have received more than double the submissions from previous years, leaving us wholly overwhelmed and, unfortunately, without the resources to meet our original June 27 release date. In addition, while attending the international conference CineEurope 2024, we received additional submissions that deservingly need to be considered for the list.  

We understand that this delay may cause some inconvenience, and we sincerely apologize for that. We are a small organization and, like many in the industry, we have been under significant pressure over the past couple of years. We don’t have the personnel or necessary resources to respond quickly to the volume we’ve experienced, so we are pushing the publication date to Thursday, July 11, to maintain a high-quality program.

While we deeply appreciate those distributors and industry organizations that have lent their support to us through sponsorship of this year’s initiative – and your support is critical to us – we need additional support in order to continue the unique work we deliver to support the cinema industry.
