Lost & Found In Cleveland

Attend theatrical distribution and digital marketplace begins Beta Phase with star-studded slice of life comedy

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA ( April 9, 2025 ) -

The Fithian Group today announced the first film for the Beta development phase of its recently announced theatrical distribution and online digital marketplace, Attend. “Lost & Found in Cleveland” is a slice of life depiction over 24 hours that follows five very different people whose lives intertwine when America’s favorite TV antiques appraisal show comes to Cleveland. The announcement also serves to celebrate National Cherish an Antique Day.

The film – written, produced, and directed by Marisa Guterman and Keith Gerchak – features an all-star cast including June Squibb, Martin Sheen, Dennis Haysbert, Stacy Keach, Jon Lovitz, Dot-Marie Jones, Loretta Devine, Liza Weil, Santino Fontana, Esther Povitsky, Jeff Hiller, Rory O’Malley, Yvette Yates Redick, Benjamin Steinhauser, and Mark L. Walberg, Host of “Antiques Roadshow.” With cinematography by Davon Slininger (“La La Land”), editing by Tricia Holmes (“The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”), and Sven Faulconer’s score played by the musicians from “La La Land” and “Oppenheimer,” the independent film has all the markings of a holiday classic.

“‘Lost & Found in Cleveland’ is about building our future dreams on the treasures and memories of our pasts,” said Guterman. “It’s been our mission to have audiences around the country see this film in movie theaters, where dreams are shared. With The Fithian Group and Attend, we see the future of theatrical distribution for movies like ours.”

The Fithian Group – supported by more than 90 filmmakers including Steven Soderbergh, Damien Chazelle, Patty Jenkins, and Sean Baker – in October announced Attend, a digital marketplace designed to grow the annual theatrical release slate. The Fithian Group is developing technologies through Attend to feature mid-range movies that have disappeared from cinemas, international movies seeking domestic releases, and independent movies that typically receive limited theatrical release but could gain broader audiences through data-driven theater selection, scheduling and marketing.

“The Lost & Found in Cleveland” release will mark the first use of the automated tools that will combine with the industry’s leading data set to form Attend.

“’Lost & Found in Cleveland’ is precisely the kind of movie that benefits from changing outdated business models around a theatrical release,” said Jackie Brenneman, founding partner of The Fithian Group. “Attend allows for unprecedented collaboration between filmmakers, theater owners, and marketers in expanding the reach of theatrical moviemaking. Keith and Marisa bring filmmaking passion, a legendary ensemble cast, and brand partnerships with their social media reach to combine with the local marketing power of targeted movie theater locations.”

“From its sold-out premiere at the Newport Beach Film Festival, and now with the most tickets ever sold to a screening in the 50-year history of the Cleveland International Film Festival – 2700 in attendance – the response tells us the audiences are there for a film like ours,” said Gerchak. “We know that with the help of movie theaters and The Fithian Group and Attend, we will find them across the country.”

Brand and community partners include Cleveland-based Sherwin-Williams, the Cleveland Guardians, KeyBank, Viking River Cruises, WorthPoint, Malley’s Chocolates, Discount Drug Mart, Destination Cleveland, and (spoiler alert) The McKinley Presidential Library and Museum.
