Newly Renamed Company Comprises Former Entertainment Brands Open Road Films, IM Global and IM Global Television

Los Angeles ( October 30, 2017 ) -

U.S. based global entertainment company Tang Media Partners Entertainment announced today that it has rebranded as Global Road Entertainment, a key step in moving towards becoming the next preeminent global content studio. The rebranding follows the recent arrival of Rob Friedman at the company who now serves as Chairman and CEO of Global Road Entertainment encompassing Open Road Films, IM Global and IM Global Television; and all of the company’s related third party sales activities. Friedman will continue to report to Tang Media Partners’ Chairman and CEO, Donald Tang.

The goal of the rebranding is to harness the scale and relevance of all of the individual banners under one label creating a global entertainment player with the ability to create, develop, finance, produce, market, broker sales of third party films and distribute movies, television and digital content in the U.S., China and all other corners of the globe. Under Friedman, the divisions will be able to cross pollinate ideas and combine its strong resources as a producer, financier, and sales entity to offer the industry, and ultimately the content consumer, a robust platform on which to create the next generation of content.

“With all divisions working under the same name we can now not only provide a focus to the marketplace, but also operate as one forward facing brand that engages the creative community, and all distribution platforms both existing and future,” said Friedman. “Regardless of the platform, Global Road Entertainment is focused on great storytelling, quality productions and tailoring content for both worldwide audiences as well as regional tastes as appropriate.”

Global Road Entertainment will continue to evolve in the coming months operating its assets under the new name, and continue to assess and bolster the company’s existing infrastructure to not only compete but also capture a leadership position in the global entertainment marketplace.
