JBL Professional CPi2000 Cinema Processor Now Available Worldwide

Professional-grade cinema processor provides exceptional audio quality and ease-of- use for cinema sound systems

Northridge, California ( April 2, 2019 ) -

HARMAN Professional Solutions, the global leader in audio, video, lighting and control systems, including networked AV, today announced the JBL Professional CPi2000 professional-grade cinema processor. Originally released in 2018 in China, the CPi2000 quickly become a leading choice among cinemas in that markets and is now available for order through authorized HARMAN distributors worldwide.

Designed to provide professional audio enhancement and volume control for cinema sound solutions, the CPi2000 combines a robust feature set with exceptional ease-of-use to meet the demands of today’s cinema environments. Features include powerful DSP processing, JBL cinema speaker crossover presets, system fault detection, and custom-designed GUI software that simplifies configuration and provides the processor with a 1/3 octave GEQ for room tuning.

A large front-panel LCD display and an accessible volume knob allows technicians to easily monitor the status of the system, amplifiers and speakers, and quickly adjust global output levels. When paired with select Crown amplifiers, the processor can detect faults of speakers or amplifiers and send fault information to a TMS or third-party control system via its RJ45 connector.

Built for quick and easy setup, the CPi2000 offers four input options: analog, digital, non-sync and mono mic. The analog and digital inputs accept audio signals from any cinema server, the non-sync input receives line- level stereo signals from CD or DVD players for background-music playback, and the mic input connects to an RTA microphone for room tuning.

In addition, the CPi2000 includes 10 HD-15 analog outputs for passive, bi-amp or tri-amp connection, a 25-pin analog output for compatibility with third-party audio systems, and a redundant output that works together with the analog input to bypass the processor during power failures and directly distribute audio signals.

The CPi2000 is perfect for any cinema utilizing 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound. Because many of today’s cinemas deploy digital servers for content playback with 5.1 or 7.1 non-compressed audio output, the CPi2000 is designed to work with these cinema sound solutions to process and distribute audio to the system’s speakers.
