Production on the Robert Rodriguez thriller kicks off this month in Austin
Solstice Studios today announced that Hala Finley (“We Can Be Heroes,” “Man With A Plan,” “Back Roads”) will join Academy Award winner Ben Affleck and Alice Braga (“Queen of the South,” “City of God”) in the action thriller “Hypnotic.” Directed by Robert Rodriguez, the film is set to start production on Monday, September 27 in Austin, Texas.
“Hypnotic” is a mind-bending action thriller about a detective who becomes entangled in a mystery involving his missing daughter (Finley) and a secret government program – while investigating a string of impossible high-end crimes. The film is written by Rodriguez and Max Borenstein. Rodriguez, Studio 8 CEO Jeff Robinov and his colleagues Guy Danella and John Graham are producing with Solstice.
Finley will next be seen in Anna Gutto’s “Paradise Highway” with Morgan Freeman and Juliette Binoche and “Shelter” alongside Zazie Beetz and Melissa Leo. She is best known for playing Emme Burns on four seasons of “Man With A Plan” on CBS alongside Friends star Matt LeBlanc, as well as film roles on Netflix’s We Can Be Heroes, directed by Robert Rodriguez and “Bobbleheads: The Movie,” also for Netflix.
Finley is represented by Paradigm Talent Agency, Atlas Artists and attorney Stewart Brookman.
