LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA ( July 8, 2025 ) -

Fandango, the nation’s leading online movie ticketer, announced today that more than $1.3 million has been raised for Boys & Girls Clubs of America, thanks to Fandango customers who have rounded up their movie ticket purchases to the nearest dollar and donated the balance to support the future of America’s youth, and help send Boys & Girls Club kids to the movies. Movies that have helped raise the most funds so far this year include “A Minecraft Movie,” “Lilo & Stitch,” “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning,” “Captain America: Brave New World,” “How to Train Your Dragon” and more, while DC Studios’ “Superman” continues the great momentum with its debut in theaters this week.

Fandango introduced the new Round-Up fundraising feature on its website and mobile app in late January with launch partner Boys & Girls Clubs of America, which serves more than 4 million kids and teens each year in communities nationwide by providing safe spaces, mentorship, and life-enhancing programs.

“Fandango customers are real-life superheroes, turning their passion for the cinema into an opportunity to support Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and help send youth across the country to the movies,” said Will McIntosh, President, Fandango. “We’re thrilled that through our new Round-up feature we’ve surpassed this impressive $1.3M milestone for Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and we’re excited to continue the momentum this week with DC Comics’ ‘Superman’ and make even greater impact.”

In addition to supporting Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s overall mission of empowering young people to reach their full potential, the funds raised on Fandango will also provide thousands of kids and teens free access to moviegoing. Some of the first Clubs that will host moviegoing adventures for their members this summer include Boys & Girls Clubs of the Lowcountry in Bluffton, SC; Boys & Girls Club of the Flathead Reservation and Lake Country in Ronan, MT; Hill Airforce Base Youth Programs in Hill AFB, UT; Netzaberg Youth Center in Grafenwöhr, Germany; Boys & Girls Clubs of Annapolis & Anne Arundel County in Annapolis, MD; Boys & Girls Clubs of the Smokey Mountains in Sevierville, TN; Boys & Girls Club of Bandera County in Bandera, TX; Boys & Girls Club of Janesville in Janesville, WI; Alameda Boys & Girls Club in Alameda, CA; and Santa Clarita Valley Boys & Girls Clubs in Santa Clarita, CA. Fandango also plans to host multiple screening events across the country throughout the year.

“We are grateful to Fandango and their generous customers for reaching this remarkable $1.3M milestone in support of America’s Club kids,” said Lisa Anastasi, Executive Vice President and Chief Development & External Relations Officer at Boys & Girls Clubs of America. “This support will not only open the door to great futures and new experiences for youth across the country but is a powerful testament to what can be accomplished when companies and their customers unite for a common cause.”

Fandango’s Round-Up fundraising initiative represents the company’s pledge to giving back to the communities it serves and harness the collective power of entertainment for good. It also underscores Fandango’s ongoing commitment to the moviegoing experience and growing the industry for generations to come. The Round-Up feature is available on Fandango’s website and mobile app.
