PROVO, UTAH ( January 13, 2026 ) -

Angel (NYSE: ANGX), a media and technology company guided by 2 million grassroots Angel Guild members championing values-driven stories, today announced a long-term, strategic partnership with The McDonough Company, founded by Ruvé and Neal McDonough, securing a first-look deal for three upcoming films. The agreement follows a highly successful collaboration on Angel’s “The Last Rodeo,” “The Shift,” and “Homestead,” currently one of the most-watched films on the Angel platform.

As part of the deal, Angel will have first consideration on a slate of films currently in development at The McDonough Company, including a highly anticipated project that reunites Neal McDonough with long-time creative partners Jon Avnet and Mykelti Williamson—a proven team known for compelling, character-driven storytelling. Previously, McDonough, Avnet, and Williamson collaborated on Angel’s “The Last Rodeo,” as well as critically acclaimed series such as “Justified” and Graham Yost’s “Boomtown.”

“The McDonough Company is focused on family, faith, and celebrating freedom,” said Neal McDonough. “Partnering with a company that aligns with our passion for sharing positive, powerful stories is a dream come true for Ruvé and me, and Angel continues to be a perfect match.”

“Ruvé and Neal lead with integrity, purpose, and a deep commitment to stories that uplift and inspire,” said David Fischer, Head of Acquisitions for Angel. This agreement reflects shared values with our Angel Guild and a shared vision for the impact great films have on global audiences.”

McDonough has been a part of some of the most highly acclaimed films and television series in history, including “Band of Brothers” for Stephen Spielberg, Clint Eastwood’s “Flags of our Fathers,” and Marvel’s “Captain America,” and television series such as “Suits,” “Yellowstone,” and “Tulsa King.”

The McDonough Company has also produced several successful films popular with the Angel Guild and distributed by Angel Studios, such as “The Shift,” “Homestead,” and, most recently, “The Last Rodeo,” which Neal McDonough co-wrote and produced alongside his wife Ruvé. But, despite all his professional acclaim, he is most proud of his relationship with God and his wife and children.

In addition to expanding its content pipeline, Angel recently announced acquisitions of the company’s highest-performing franchises, including “Homestead,” which strengthens Angel’s long-term film and television library. Together, Angel and The McDonough Company will bring bold, meaningful stories to audiences worldwide, continuing a collaboration built on trust, shared purpose, and the pursuit of excellence.

The animated epic “David” released in theaters on December 19, 2025, and became the top grossing opening for a faith-based animated film, ended the year as the #6 top animated movies domestically, and has earned over $72M in box office receipts. Additionally, Angel’s upcoming theatrical slate showcases a diverse range of stories and genres. Highlights include “I Was A Stranger,” a powerful tale of resilience and hope set against the backdrop of the Syrian Civil War and featured in more than 50 film festivals worldwide; “Solo Mio,” a heartwarming romantic comedy starring Kevin James, Kim Coates, and Alyson Hannigan; and “Young Washington,” an epic biopic starring Kelsey Grammer, Mary-Louise Parker, and Sir Ben Kingsley – introducing William Franklyn-Miller – in the title role.
