AMC Theatres to Open Its First Two Locations in New Jersey, the Sixth Largest State in AMC’s Circuit by Screen Count, on Friday, September 4

AMC Jersey Gardens 20 and AMC Wayne 14 are the first two AMCs to reopen in New Jersey on Friday, September 4

AMC Theatres (NYSE:AMC) continues to welcome back moviegoers throughout the United States, and beginning this Friday, September 4, that includes moviegoers in the state of New Jersey, the sixth largest state in AMC’s circuit by screen count. Following the announcement by state officials this week that movie theatres are permitted to reopen, AMC will open all 27 of its New Jersey theatres during the next week. Those openings begin tomorrow, September 4, when AMC Jersey Gardens 20 and AMC Wayne 14 resume operations in time for guests to enjoy Warner Bros.’ “Tenet” on opening weekend.

As early as Monday, September 7, AMC expects to reopen an additional seven locations, including AMC Brick Plaza 10, AMC Brunswick Square 13, AMC Clifton Commons 16, AMC Deptford 8, AMC East Hanover 12, AMC Newport Centre 11 and AMC Garden State 16.

The remaining New Jersey locations are set to open on or around Thursday, September 10. AMC is closely monitoring, and will strictly follow, all state and local ordinances for seating capacity. The Company expects to make announcements about additional states and markets in the coming weeks, once theatres are authorized to open by state and local officials.

In addition to “Tenet”, which opens today, September 3, guests at all open AMC locations can enjoy this summer’s new titles such as “The New Mutants”, “Unhinged”, “Words on Bathroom Walls” and “The Personal History of David Copperfield”. Upcoming releases include “Broken Hearts Gallery” on Sept. 11, “Infidel” on Sept. 18, and “Greenland” on Sept. 25.

AMC is also offering an array of $5 food and beverage treats, including regular popcorn, regular Coca-Cola Freestyle drinks and KidsPacks, through the end of October. And all AMC Stubs members will earn double points on all ticket and food & drink purchases through the end of October.
