AMC Theatres Celebrates Black History Month With Unique Weekly Programming Themes That Spotlight Black Filmmakers and Actors, Transformative Music Icons, And Inspirational Trailblazers

AMC Theatres celebrates Black History Month with its largest-ever Fan Fave lineup, featuring eight films at 170 locations nationwide

Throughout the month of February, AMC moviegoers can enjoy daily showtimes from two of the following films each week at 170 participating U.S. AMC locations – “Piece by Piece” and “Luther: Never Too Much”; “The Fire Inside” and “The Forge”; “Challengers" and "Rob Peace"; "Bad Boys: Ride Or Die" and a to-be-named title

AMC Theatres (NYSE:AMC), the largest theatrical exhibitor in the United States and the world, today announced that in celebration of Black History Month, AMC is launching eight Fan Fave films, more titles than ever offered in past years for this honorary month, at 170 locations in the United States starting next Friday.

Two titles from 2024 each with a unique weekly theme will be offered at participating AMC locations. Beginning January 31 through February 27, 170 locations will offer a daily showtime of the following films:

Echoes of Greatness – A Celebration of Black Music Icons (1/31-2/6):
Titles: “Piece By Piece” (Focus) and “Luther: Never Too Much” (Giant Pictures)

Inspiration & Resilience (2/7-2/13):
Titles: “The Fire Inside” (MGM) and “The Forge” (Sony)

Love & Legacy (2/14-2/20) – Valentine’s Week:
Titles: “Challengers” (MGM) and “Rob Peace” (Emick)

The Thrills and Laughs Duo (2/21-2/27):
Titles: “Bad Boys: Ride Or Die” (Sony) and TBA

Black filmmakers, actors, and trailblazers have given the world some of the most compelling cinematic experiences spanning multiple genres and themes including resilience, romance, music, and comedy, and that tradition has continued over the past year with some truly inspirational films. AMC Theatres is honoring those ongoing contributions by giving moviegoers the opportunity to revisit a curated selection of recent captivating films created by exceptional Black film producers or starring accomplished actors including Pharrell Williams, Jamie Foxx, Barry Jenkins, Cameron Arnett, Zendaya, Antoine Fuqua, and Keke Palmer.
