Reading Cinemas Announces Return of National Cinema Day

Reading Cinemas Australia celebrates National Cinema Day on August 31 with a special day of moviegoing for audiences nationwide

Reading Cinemas Australia, an affiliate of Reading International, Inc. (“Reading”), announced today that it will again be holding the Reading Cinemas National Cinema Day on Sunday August 31st. For the third continuous year the exceptionally popular cinema going day will run under each brand – Reading Cinemas Australia, Reading Cinemas New Zealand, and Angelika Cinemas, incorporating the State Cinema in Hobart and Angelika South/City/SQ in Brisbane.

Reading Cinemas is thrilled to announce the return of its National Cinema Day, a nationwide celebration of the Reading Cinema experience. Across all brands, tickets will start at just $5 for Standard & Premium sessions; TITAN XC and TITAN LUXE tickets will be only $10, and tickets for Gold Lounge and SoHo Lounge will be $15. This promotional ticket price will be across all sessions on Sunday August 31st. These prices exclude special event screenings, Q&A’s and similar branded screenings.

Tickets are now available for a range of films such as, “The Naked Gun,” “Weapons,” “Freakier Friday,” “Nobody 2,” “Ne Zha 2,” “The Fantastic Four: First Steps,” “Caught Stealing,” as well as a special 50th Anniversary screening of the original iconic shark thriller, “Jaws.” There are also returning family favourites like “Lilo & Stitch,” “How To Train Your Dragon” (liveaction), and “Elio.” Tickets can be purchased online, via the respective brands apps, or at the cinema Box Office.
