Celluloid Junkie, the leading online trade publication covering the global film and cinema business, is pleased to announce the appointment of seasoned sales executive Shana Nichols as Sponsorship Director. Based in Tampa Bay, Florida, Nichols will lead Celluloid Junkie’s global sponsorship and business development efforts.
Nichols, who officially began her role in September 2025, brings more than 15 years of sales and marketing leadership experience with organizations including Encore, the global event production company, and the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications, Journalism, and Film Studies.
Working with CJ’s teams in Los Angeles and London, Nichols will oversee the company’s sponsorship strategy and cultivate new industry partnerships to support Celluloid Junkie’s work as a fully independent film industry trade outlet. Her role will help CJ expand its coverage of global cinema exhibition and distribution, continuing the publication’s commitment to delivering trusted news, insights, and analysis. With a readership spanning 198 countries, CJ covers the latest developments, festivals, and conferences in the global film industry, drawing on correspondents around the world.
“I’m an avid moviegoer with a real passion for the cinemas that let us experience films on the big screen,” said Nichols, who has led several film festivals in Florida. “As someone who has been reading Celluloid Junkie for years, I’m delighted to join the team and I look forward to helping it grow into an even stronger resource this vital industry can rely on.”
“We’re thrilled to welcome Shana to Celluloid Junkie,” said J. Sperling Reich, Executive Editor. “It’s rare to find someone with such a strong blend of business development expertise and hands-on cinema experience. We’re confident she’ll help take CJ to the next level.”
