RED Digital Cinema will host two discussions with acclaimed filmmakers at this year’s Cine Gear Expo on the Warner Bros. Studios Lot in Los Angeles. On Friday, June 7, at 4:45 p.m., Jeff Cronenweth, ASC; Erik Messerschmidt, ASC and Wally Pfister, ASC, BSC, DGA will join RED for “Unleashing Creativity: The Influence of Music Videos and Commercials”. On Saturday, June 8, at 2:45 p.m., Eric Branco, Alice Brooks, ASC; Markus Förderer, ASC, BVK and Polly Morgan, ASC, BSC will explore Building Cinematic Worlds.
Cronenweth (Oscar-nominee for “The Social Network” and “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”), Messerschmidt (Academy Award-winner for “Mank”), and Pfister (four-time Oscar-nominee for “The Dark Knight,” “The Prestige” and “Batman Begins,” and winner for “Inception”) will share how short-form content serves as a catalyst for creativity, propelling filmmakers to push the boundaries of their craft. The candid conversation will explore the transformative power of experimentation with cutting-edge tools and techniques, as these world-renowned artists reveal how they infuse innovation into their storytelling.
Expo attendees can embark on a journey with filmmakers Branco (“Let the Right One In”), Brooks (“Wicked”), Förderer (“Constellation”) and Morgan (“Back to Black”) as they discuss the intricacies of world-building in storytelling.
