Oma Cinema and Broadway Circuit, Hong Kong & China leading exhibitor, have entered into an exclusive agreement, announced today at CineEurope 2022, the industry’s largest European exhibition show, to build an Oma theater in Shanghai, China. 

Created by renowned French architect Pierre Chican, who has designed many innovative cinemas in France over the last 30 years, and inspired by the design of the great theatres and opera houses, Oma Cinema’s unique tiered balconies, or “pods”, enables cinemagoers to enjoy a unique, great sociable cinema experience whilst enjoying a perfect view of the screen.

Broadway Theatre Company Limited currently operates 50 cinemas and 363 screens across five brands in China, as well as 13 cinemas and over 70 screens in Hong Kong. Broadway Circuit is very well known for its reputation as the birthplace for many great cinemas and destination for art, culture and entertainment event. Considering quality as a way of life, the patented Oma architecture perfectly fits with Broadway Circuit’s great philosophy and state-of-the-art cinemas portfolio.
