Drive-in cinema specialist NightFlix opens the gates to the public for its fifth permanent drive-in location, at the heart of the brand-new Prince Phillip Park town centre development in Whitehill & Bordon, Hampshire, on 15th July 2021.
Launching with “Grease” and “Mamma Mia!” as its premier public screenings, the Whitehill & Bordon site has capacity for 88 vehicles and will run year-round offering immersive and accessible viewing of beloved movies from the comfort of their own cars.
Cinematic gems screening at the drive-in throughout July include the “Mamma Mia!” films, the “Rocky Horror Picture Show”, “Footloose” and “Dirty Dancing”, alongside recent hits “Bohemian Rhapsody”, “Birds of Prey”, “Joker”, and “A Star is Born”.
The drive-in occupies the former site of the Sandhurst Block, complete with the original clock tower for a striking backdrop to the silver screen. It is also overlooked by a striking bespoke mural created by Shiraaz Ali, which has been designed with suggestions of imagery from the local community.
Food and beverage will be provided on site by local businesses.

We will be hosting year-round events including seated & drive-in cinemas, live comedy and sporting events. With a fully licensed bar and several food vendors it will be a great community venue for the people of Bordon to relax and enjoy a great range of entertainment together.”
James Child, Whitehill & Bordon Regeneration Company project lead, adds, “The opening of the NightFlix drive-in cinema supports our desire to bring forward as many town centre amenities as possible, as soon as feasibly possible. With the cinema sitting alongside The Shed, the new leisure centre and just a short stroll from Hogmoor, the town centre is starting to take shape as a daytime and evening leisure destination seven days a week.”
The drive-in site sits alongside numerous other new developments in the town centre, which include The Shed, a restaurant and leisure hub, and the recently opened Everyone Active leisure centre with six lane swimming pool, fitness centre and studios which is located adjacent to The Shed. Further innovative and dynamic entertainment, leisure, health and retail options are in the pipeline.
