For decades, the Pobeda Cinema remained a landmark of Minsk. After three years of restoration, its doors opened again, but in a completely new form—with five fantastic halls. Pobeda has perfectly combined its vintage charm with modern technology and is leading in this change with Galalite.
Galalite, one of the forerunners in the development of screens for movie theatres, brings the world of cinema experience with its screens right to Pobeda. There are five new, refitted halls at Pobeda, all equipped with the Mirage 1.7 screen from Galalite. These modern theater boxes set a new benchmark in terms of visual quality. Galalite's Mirage 1.7 screens are reputed for great contrast, accurate colors, and uniform luminance bringing films to life previously unseen in their vibrancy and clarity.
Make Pobeda Cinema something like a redefinition of movie watching at theaters, thanks to the very innovative technology from Galalite. Technological advancement has made it possible for every screening to take one deep into the world of cinema with Galalite's advanced visual brilliance on Mirage 1.7 screens.
The Mirage 1.7 screens in combination with NEC RB laser projectors provide good pictures since their quality and reliability are extremely high. Among them, each frame comes alive with an extraordinary photographic quality of clarity and detailing of the film, with all its vibrant colors and sharp contrasts.
One of the unique things about Mirage 1.7 screens is the proprietary Lensray Technology from Galalite. This innovation eliminates speckles, the most common problem found with RGB laser projectors, hence improving clarity so viewers have a crystal-clear view without speckles. This is intended to bring about a tiny coherence area of light with the use of Lensray Technology through lesser interference and the effect of speckle by great margins, therefore making sure that every image on the screen is clear.
“We are proud to have partnered with Kraftwerk in the renovation of Pobeda Cinema, Minsk,” said Siranush Whyte, General Manager – Sales for Galalite. Commenting on the transformation feats, Siranush Whyte said: “Renovation of an old five-hall cinema in the style of the 1950s is something splendid. We appreciate Alexandr Handogin and the Kraftwerk team for their expertise and dedication, which has gained extremely high value from the customer and a lot of technical specialists.”
Pobeda Cinema, apart from mind-blowing pictures, was equipped with the highest-class sound systems delivered by the best manufacturers in Europe. It means that the sound accompanying the out-of-this-world picture is of the highest quality as well as gives the possibility to move to the movie's world fully.
"After the 3-year restoration, now the elder cinema in Minsk, "Pobeda," is reopening already," said the director of 'Kraftwerk' cluster Alexandr Handogin. "It has transformed from one hall into a five-hall cinema, maintaining its 1950s charm while becoming one of the most high-tech and beautiful cinemas in the city. We used the latest video and sound technologies, including projection screens with Lensray Technology and RB laser projectors. This combination permitted the highest image quality without the speckle effect! Both customers and technical experts are very impressed with the work done."
Galalite is proud to be a part of the modernization of Pobeda Cinema. This project is yet another reflection of the company's seriousness in providing advanced cinema technology across the globe.
