“We are thrilled to be part of the inspiring journey of The Rose,” said Jun Bang, CEO of CJ 4DPLEX. “Leveraging our extensive global theater network, we are committed to bringing this exceptional documentary to theaters worldwide and reaching the broadest possible audience.”
Featuring immersive live performances, behind-the-scenes stories, and heartfelt interviews, the documentary captures The Rose’s unwavering passion for music and the strength of their teamwork. This compelling film -showcases the band’s deep creative involvement from songwriting to stage direction.
After making its premiere at the Tribeca Festival 2025 in June, the film ran away with audiences and critics alike, and received the Tribeca Runner-up Audience Prize and quickly sold out all of its screenings with an additional screening added to support the overwhelming audience demand. Directed by the award-winning Eugene Yi (Sundance’s “Free Chol Soo Lee”), and produced by Diane Quon (Oscar-nominated “Minding the Gap”), Marginal MediaWorks’ Sanjay M. Sharma and Milan Chakraborty (Tribeca Jury Prize winner “Cypher”), HYBE America’s James Shin (currently in production with Paramount on an “Untitled” K-Pop film directed by Benson Lee) and Wavelength’s Joe Plummer (award-winning “Won’t You Be My Neighbor?,” “Rather”).
“Knowing how dominant Korean culture is globally – from ‘K-Pop Demon Hunters’ to ‘Parasite’ – international audiences are all eager to go deeper and learn more” said Diane Quon and Sanjay M. Sharma on behalf of the producing team behind the popular Tribeca doc. “The Rose is as much a music doc as it is a coming-of-age story – about a group of friends finding their own way through the world. It’s a story of heartbreak and healing, conformity and individuality, and ultimately about the transformative power of music around the world. We are humbled to have the world’s preeminent Korean entertainment company, CJ, partner with us to bring the film to global audiences – in theaters – through the unique power of 4DPLEX.”
“The Rose: Come Back To Me” will screen three times at the Busan International Film Festival and will continue on additional film festivals worldwide, with the global theatrical release in 2026.
