Qube Wire ensures secure and reliable movie content delivery at the 16th edition of IFFLA
Qube Cinema partnered with the 16th annual Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles (IFFLA). The Festival, which is widely recognized as a premiere showcase of Indian cinema globally, takes place from April 11-15th at Regal L.A. LIVE: A Barco Innovation Center in Los Angeles, California. Filmmakers increasingly relied on Qube Wire for secure and reliable movie content delivery to the festival.
Qube Wire, for the first time, provides a complete solution that allows international distributors to send movies to cinemas anywhere in the world, quickly and safely. They can either directly generate KDMs within the Qube Wire ecosystem or assign territory-limited rights to local distributors so that they can pick the actual theatres.
“IFFLA offers a great platform to showcase Indian films globally and we are glad to continue our partnership with IFFLA for the second year,”said Rajesh Ramachandran, President & CTO of Qube Cinema. “Qube Wire makes it safer for independent filmmakers to screen their movies at film festivals around the world. It’s unique features make it a great solution for film festivals.”
“Qube Wire is ideal for film festivals. It allows the festival to have complete control over the content logistics and key management.” said Christina Marouda, IFFLA Founder and Chair.
Qube Wire helps eliminate the outdated process of physical Digital Cinema Package (DCP) transportation, and manage the DCPs and Key Delivery Messages (KDMs) of all film screenings at the IFFLA film festival. The dedicated festival module in Qube Wire eliminates the risk of drive failures and corrupted content associated with physical delivery and storage. The Qube Wire cloud platform will act as a central hub for all content, transforming the distribution process and ensuring that KDMs are always targeted to the correct screen devices.
IFFLA will showcase more than 25 films from the Indian filmmaking community across the globe, host the highly anticipated Opening and Closing red carpet Galas, and the Closing Awards ceremony. This will be IFFLA’s second year in the state-of-the-art, world-class cinema in the heart of Los Angeles’ vibrant and developing downtown district.
