São Paulo, Brazil ( September 28, 2026 ) -

Expocine, established as the premier gathering for the Latin American cinema market, will take place from September 29 to October 2 across two venues in São Paulo: the Espaço Center 3 de Eventos—one of this year’s new additions—and the Cine Marquise – Conjunto Nacional, located directly across Avenida Paulista. Under the theme “Open Screen: Cinema That Moves On Its Own,” the 2026 edition encourages an in-depth reflection on the convergence of cinema, mobile, tablet, and streaming screens, while celebrating the strength of a film market experiencing robust expansion.

Credentials are currently on sale, featuring the Forum category, which grants full access to the trade show, training workshops, and strategic panels. STANDARD badges (exclusive access to the trade show) and Premium badges (trade show, training workshops, strategic panels, and closed distributor events reserved for Exhibition sector members) are also available. To view pricing, access categories, and register, please visit the official event website.

As the key highlight this year, the trade show will be held in an expanded area at the Espaço Center 3 de Eventos, designed to accommodate additional booths showcasing the latest innovations in cinema technology and products. The new venue will also host the convention’s strategic panels and discussion forums. Just a few meters away at the iconic Conjunto Nacional, Cine Marquise will host product presentations and upcoming slates from major market distributors, alongside training workshops focused on practical skill development for industry professionals.

“Expocine grew because our industry grew. Moving the trade show to Center 3 was a natural step to provide the infrastructure and variety the market needs to close deals today. The theme of this edition, ‘Open Screen: Cinema That Moves On Its Own,’ reflects a mature cinema industry that has gained its own strength and transitions seamlessly across all screens. We have expanded beyond national borders; today, our role is to serve as the primary meeting and networking point for the Latin American audiovisual industry,” notes Marcelo Lima, creator of Grupo Tonks and founder of Expocine.

Recognized as the largest cinema business gathering in Latin America and the second largest worldwide, Expocine continues its trajectory of steady growth. In 2025 alone, the event brought together more than 2,300 badge holders and achieved a remarkable expansion in the commercial exhibition space, growing from 24 exhibiting brands in 2023 to more than 60. Featuring over 55 hours of content alongside exhibitors, distributors, producers, and industry executives, the convention consolidates its status as the key platform where the Latin American industry shapes its future steps. In line with its structural and content expansion, Expocine 2026 reinforces its commitment to inclusion and diversity. In partnership with MAV, the event will ensure enhanced accessibility for individuals with disabilities or reduced mobility. Additionally, presentations will offer simultaneous translation into Spanish and English.
