Centurion Film Selects Vista Group’s Mica and Numero for Global Theatrical Release of Markiplier’s Iron Lung

Iron Lung

International rollout across 4,100+ theaters enabled by integrated theatrical distribution management and box office intelligence.

Auckland, New Zealand ( January 30, 2026 ) -

Centurion Film Service has partnered with Vista Group, the global leader in providing technology and data solutions to the film industry, to oversee worldwide theatrical bookings for YouTube creator Markiplier’s highly anticipated film “Iron Lung.”

Leveraging Vista Group’s theatrical distribution software, Mica, and flash box office reporting system Numero, the film is set to open on screens across North America, United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand this coming weekend.

Mica and Numero’s integrated offering proved instrumental in supporting the film’s unprecedented surge in demand after tickets went on sale December 9, 2025. Originally planned for 50-100 theaters, the release expanded to over 1,000 North American venues within one week, driven by enthusiastic audiences directly contacting cinemas to request screenings in their local markets worldwide. The film’s release is now scheduled to open at over 4,100 venues globally.

“Last December, we thought we would put tickets on sale at a handful of theaters and see where pre-sales took us. Eight weeks later, it will screen in over 4,100 worldwide. We couldn’t have managed this unprecedented explosion in exhibitor demand without Mica and Numero,” said Bill Herting, Centurion’s founder.

Mica’s theatrical distribution software streamlines the complex logistics of cinema bookings, content delivery, and finance, with Numero providing flash box office collection for both pre- and post-sales tracking. Native multi-currency support and rapid onboarding capability of both systems allowed the Iron Lung team to launch operations within days, empowering them to respond to real-time ticket sales data and audience demand, adding venues and screenings across multiple overseas territories.

Mica’s two-way integration with Deluxe, Iron Lung’s chosen vendor for global content delivery, enables automated handling of content (DCP) and key (KDM) ordering – eliminating manual processes and accelerating time-to-screen.

George Eyles, EVP & GM Cinema Worldwide at Deluxe noted, “Our long‑standing integration with Vista Group’s theatrical distribution platform has reliably processed tens of thousands of orders each month, demonstrating proven performance at scale as a trusted component of many distributor workflows. For a release like Iron Lung, eliminating the manual effort traditionally associated with content logistics allows teams to focus on expanding the film’s release footprint rather than managing bookings across spreadsheets and emails. By taking a systems driven approach through integration, we remove layers of manual data entry, reduce operational risk, and provide clear visibility into delivery status throughout the release process.”

Utilizing integrated services across Mica and Numero, the Iron Lung team can review competitive film data provided by Numero directly within the Mica application as they process holdovers into week two and beyond. This unified workflow enables real-time decision-making without the need to switch between systems.

Commenting on the collaboration, Simon Burton, Chief Film Officer at Vista Group, remarked, “we’re thrilled to support the groundbreaking release of Iron Lung. Centurion Film’s approach showcases the growing opportunities for self-distribution at scale. We welcome the chance to help these creators share their stories with global audiences, powered by Mica and Numero and delivering efficiency typically reserved for major studio productions.”

Iron Lung releases exclusively in theaters on January 30th, 2026.
