ECCO, one of Germany’s leading partners for cinema technology and services, continues to set the course for the future: Following Maik Schönebeck, who has been successfully responsible for technical management since the beginning of the year, Nils Büker will join the company on 1 October 2025 to take over from Thomas Rüttgers in commercial management by 2027. With Nils Büker and Maik Schönebeck, a strong leadership duo is now gradually taking over the management of the company.
Nils Büker is supported in sales by Sven Bannert, who has been working closely with customers for many years, and Benjamin Bär, who joined the team a year ago. Together, they ensure that the close relationship with customers is maintained while also bringing in new ideas.
Thomas Rüttgers will remain active in the management team until 2027 to pass on his experience and ensure a smooth transition. ‘With this combination of continuity and fresh impetus, we firmly believe that we can lead ECCO safely and successfully into the future,’ explains owner Garland Hansmann.
Thomas Rüttgers adds: “Nils Büker brings more than 30 years of experience in the international cinema industry to the table. He has in-depth market knowledge. His passion for cinema is infectious. I am convinced that the stable relationship with our customers and partners will be further expanded with Nils Büker. He is supported by a strong ECCO team of 20 people who have been helping to shape and guarantee the company’s success for years.”
ECCO wants to continue growing and is looking optimistically to the future with its Agenda 2030. Additions and realignments to the product and service range are planned for the coming year.
