- Conferences & Trade Shows
While the industry may be preoccupied preparing for CinemaCon in April and CineEurope in June, Expocine, one of the largest cinema trade shows in South America, has announced its 2022 dates. The ninth annual trade show will be held from 20 to 23 of September in São Paulo, Brazil.
The exhibition-centric conference will take place at both the Cine Marquise and the Renaissance Hotel located in the Avenida Paulista section of the city. A working movie theatre, Cine Marquise will host distributor presentations, panel discussions and lectures. The venue has Dolby Atmos sound, Cinionic laser projection and the latest Harkness screens.
Event registration and a trade show with over 30 booths will be set up just 150 meters away from the Cine Marquise at the Renaissance. Historically, manufacturers from around the world and throughout the industry have showed off their wares at Expocine’s trade show, which hosts exhibitors and distributors from all over Latin America. Simultaneous Portuguese, Spanish and English language translation is usually provided for most programming.
“Expocine is a space for exchanging experiences and news for the entire film industry,” said Marcelo Lima, CEO of Grupo Tonks, the producer of Expocine. “Confirming the event, for another year, especially with all the industry transformations we are experiencing, was important for us, since we know how much the market is strengthened when we are all reunited.”
