Even though there are plenty of more mature blockbusters opening in theatres over the next three months, Regal and AMC Theatres are bringing back their popular summer movie programs, offering affordable and family-friendly films for moviegoers. Regal’s Summer Movie Express will feature USD $2 movies every Tuesday and Wednesday at participating locations, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting charity. The lineup includes titles like “Minions: The Rise of Gru” and “Sonic the Hedgehog.” The program will support the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
Meanwhile, AMC Theatres is reintroducing its AMC Summer Movie Camp for the first time since 2019. From May through August moviegoers can enjoy recent and classic family films for USD $3 on Wednesdays and USD $5 on Saturdays at approximately 400 AMC locations. The lineup includes movies like “Puss in Boots: The Last Wish” and “Trolls World Tour.” According to the exhibitor, the initiative aims to bring back the nostalgic tradition of summer moviegoing and offers accessible entertainment for all ages.
Both programs aim to provide an affordable and enjoyable movie experience for families and movie enthusiasts throughout the summer months.
